NICU nurse by night, photographer by day.

Oh, hey-

It’s me!

Hi, I'm Shannon!

I began my career as a NICU nurse in 2018 and it didn’t take long for me to start looking for a creative outlet to decompress after busy shifts. Enter- photography!

Being a nurse means that your children's safety is my top priority, and that I am well aware how important time management is. My goal is always to help you create memories you can cherish in as stress-free an environment as possible.

Instagram may make you believe that you have to dress or look a certain way to get beautiful images- I'll show you that no matter your style you can (and will!) have gorgeous photos.

Why "Blink"?

The inspiration for the name comes from my dogs! Bentley and Lincoln. Bent and Linc combined? Blink! But that's not the only reason.

When you work as a NICU nurse you pick certain patients to care for over and over. We call them primaries. I have been lucky enough to keep in touch with some of my primaries over the years and it shocks me how quickly they are growing. Similarly, my nephew was born a few years ago and it felt like every time I saw him he had learned a new skill. Walking, talking, running, back-talking. He had learned it all before I even knew what was happening.

It may be cliché but life truly does pass by in the blink of an eye. There are so many stages of life that I wish I could look back on. And that is exactly what I want to offer to my clients- physical keepsakes of the life they have built and the love they have forged.

How it all works

  • Once I receive your inquiry I will send you a video breakdown of my whole process and pricing which usually answers any questions you may be having.

  • When you submit your session fee to hold your place in my calendar, you’ll also fill out a questionnaire that will help me get to know you and learn exactly what you’re looking for. You’ll then get my full client prep guide to make sure you’re ready for your photoshoot.

  • A few days before your session I’ll reach out to see if you have any last minute questions. Then it’s photo time!

  • Once your photos are edited you’ll receive a beautiful slideshow of your images that will help you decide which collection you’d like to purchase. Once you make your choice and the payment is made you’ll receive a full gallery of your images to download and a print credit to be used in the gallery store.

FAQs

Do you offer priority editing if I need my photos fast?

Yes. For a $50.00 fee I will front load your gallery and have your images done and delivered within 7 days of your shoot date.

Who are the shop products printed through?

It depends on the product that you are purchasing. All products are developed through a professional photography print lab. Using professional labs does mean my products are more expensive than other print providers. However, it also guarantees that your products will be high quality, color correct, and long lasting.

Is it okay if I don’t want my family’s photos shared on your website/social media?

Of course it is okay. Let me know before your session if you'd prefer this level of privacy. However, please do remember that my business is based in the visual arts. If no one allowed me to share their images- no one would know if they wanted to book me or not. Plus I'm proud of the magic we create together and LOVE showing you all off!

When should I book my newborn session if baby isn’t born yet?

I usually suggest that you book your session for 1-2 weeks after your due date. Then if baby is born early or late just reach out to me- I am happy to reschedule!
